Rapper Killer Mike escorted from Grammys venue and arrested after alleged altercation
Rapper Killer Mike was led out of the Grammys in handcuffs and arrested Sunday after a confrontation during the pre-televised portion of the awards show.
A man was detained on Sunday afternoon in connection with a "physical altercation".
Police have identified the man as Michael Render, the real name of Killer Mike.
In an LAPD post, police said the altercation happened in the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court
He was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery, police said
Earlier in the afternoon, Killer Mike won three Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album at the pre-show premiere ceremony.
